life after (unofficial) graduation. + first interview

hola.

prior to my (unofficial) graduation, I had a bunch of plans. While I was still a college student, I had been doing planning on how I am going to do after graduation.
started from building a business, 9-5 job, and I even think of myself being an actress (which was very laughable).

presently, I am still jobless. doing nothing.

well, I write but mostly striving which is a must (and not to be missed).

striving to get a job.

truthfully, I was thinking that finding a job is not as hard as I am doing right now. turned out, I realized that my capabilities are (still) insufficient. I live in a country which has a lot of graduates (before me) who are still striving to get a job and perhaps they are better than me. so, the probability is still... small.

yesterday, I got a chance to do a phone interview with a company. I did it. but, I feel like I can do better. kinda sorry for myself because I was in remorse after doing the interview. I wish I could go back in time, to be deeply prepared.

but...

it is what it is. what I can do now, is to be prepared for the next (upcoming) interview (amen).

what I learned from my previous interview, they always ask you these things:

1. how do you see yourself in 3 years?

2. how do you see yourself in 5 years?
3. what do you want to do after graduate?
4. you are (your major) graduate, why did you choose (ex. your major)?
5. What are your strength(s) and weakness(es)?
6. Have you got any work or internship experience(s)?
7. how did you cope with your weakness(es)?
8. What are you doing while after graduation?
9. What is your skill(s)?
10. What makes you interested in applying to the company/for the job?

well, it depends on the company, it might be not the same, but generally, they will ask you those questions. ESPECIALLY, for FRESH GRADUATE like me and having no job experience(s).

nervous is fine, but what I realized about myself is sometimes I lost for words. I cannot think clearly even though I know what I wanted to say. the key is to stay focus. when they ask you the first question, think about that question. when the first question is done and they move to the next question, do not ever think about the first question, stay focus on the question they ask you atm. unless they will relate the next question with the previous one (ex: about your major, internship experiences, etc)

yeah, I still have a long waaaay to go. I need a lot of improvements. I need to sharpen my skills. I need to train myself more often.

However, it is okay to try. imagine if had never tried, I would never know about how it feels! rite?!

one thing I also learned, when you are fresh graduate, you're actually NOTHING.
you have to know, there are a bunch of people who are MORE THAN YOU.
so, do not stop learning. STOP having a lot of high expectations.
if you got rejected, it is not the end of the world. that is fine. that is your first journey.
when you got rejected, you need to think about,

"ooh, what makes them think I was not the best candidate?"
"I need to improve myself better"

do not forget to stay calm. stay sane. stay patient. please please please stay healthy, for both your mental and physical. eat healthy food!!🥦

when you're tired, it does not mean you have to stop. you just need to rest, ok rest well!

love you❤️❤️
