intern intern intern intern

"WOO HOO I AM AN INTERN RIGHT NOW! I CAN FEEL BEING AN EMPLOYEE! I CAN GET BUSY DOING WORK!"

above was me, when i got accepted in a not-so-called private company as their intern.

i am currently on my internship programme at a not-so-private enterprise, it is actually my 3rd week of my intership term. i saw a lot of people working their a** off, doing their best, doing everything perfectly, to get equitable results for the company also for themselves. but, did they really always doing their work perfectly and GOT THE PERFECT RESULTS? i don't think so.

on the 1st to 5th day of internship, i received what so called an induction training. They gave use some explanation about the company, the department, the leaders, who they are, what they are doing, what they are making, how they made the products, the safety, even how they walk inside the company. kinda bored with these kinds of explanations since i only going to spend my 7 weeks of my internship programme here. Did i received all of the informations from the different departments? nope. they gave the schedules, which were very good of them. so, we can find some informations first about the department before they explain it. unfortunately, not all of the trainers came to the room. thus, most of us spent times to chit chat, gosipping (this true af), and me? sleep of course. But i wonder why, they train us as their intern are also their job, but how they can neglect the tasks? i was assuming maybe they're busy and they had too many tasks in a day. but, but, but you cannot leave your tasks without explanation. but yeah, that is fine.

on my 2nd week, i was participating in a department where the SOP are made! yes! very happy to see these kind of papers! i got my tasks to do some little revision on it. very happy to do the tasks. since, they gave me only several papers, then i finished it less than 2 hours. where actually i have 8 hours per day to do the work. so, i had 6 hours free. seems fun, huh? it was not fun, at all. i was killed by boredom.

starting my 3rd week, i bring all of my best-things; 1. book, 2. laptop, 3. notes, 4. headset, 5. snacks. i bring all of em inside my bag. seems like my expectations were very high back then, or maybe the real tasks does not come yet?! i don't know. i was hoping i can be useful for myself and the company. whenever they let me be a lonely-ugly-intern in the corner of the office and looking like an idiot who came from nowhere, i feel so bad. did they need me here? if don't, why they are accepting me then? huh so bored.

i still have 4 weeks to go, TO END this. well, i hope i will get a serious tasks and they give a chance to develop as human and a student to enter the real harsh rough life out there. also beside all of the bored-thingy things, they give me free foods including healthy meals, fruits, not-so-healthy coffee, and snacks. when i get my free time (aka no work) they let me go to the canteen and EAT! yes thankyou.

i'll let you know when this internship ends. bye bye bye. **NSYNC sings on the back*

love, A.
