SOLO TRAVELING? DID ALMI WENT SOLO TRAV..ELLL?
long time no see you my bloggie. Well, i've been busy myself doing nothing for holidays. Now, im already here in my bed ready for achieving my undergraduate degree haha. by the way, for holidays i am not doin that much, only went to some places. Once i've never been before, the other was my second time. Before i tell you what cities, fyi im went alone. yes. only myself with my bag. actually, i have friends there, but they're not like 24/7 with me everyday. so, maybe it is better for me to share my very first solo travel experience that is not really... ergh... not that nice cause i feel like i didnt prepared things delightfully. let's start.
this sudden solo trip started when my friend Aqila sent me a text where she invited me to go to Penang. Yes, i went to Penang, bro. she was on her study exchange in USM. then, i booked a flight hastily. cgk-kul-pen. pen-kul-cgk. yes, connecting flight i hate that. i didnt realize i booked a connecting flight, besides there was also direct flight to Penang from Jakarta. i spent almost 1 week in Malaysia. i spent my first 3 days in Penang, then.... i went to Kuala Lumpur for like hmm 4 days i think. then, i'll go back to Penang until the date where i should go home huft. First day in penang, i wasted my time only for sleeping cause i am so flippin tired. I know it is just 4 hours flight, but still it is tiring actually to walk from gate to another gate and passed immigration. the next day, i decided to go Georgetown to eat. yes. to eat. well, thanks to my friend Amer who gave me some food recommendations list. i went to Teo Chew Chendul (Cendol?) and then i ate Asam Laksa which is quite sour (yes because it is asam, almi) and i ate Nasi Kandar. Among those three, i think im in love with Nasi Kandar the most cause it is just... that good. eventhough i have to queue for like 30 minutes. Because, Penang is so flippin hot like Jakarta, i decided to go to Gurney Plaza, yes mall. i sat in Starbucks, i drink my lovely vanilla blabla with java chips which is very niceee. then, i'll go back to my friend's apart. ok, lets move to the day i go to KL. i went to KL from Penang by bus for 5 hours long. I met my indo friend, Ghina whom i never met for 2 years, and finally i met her in another country. we spent time in Alor street cause we need to eat at that time. the next day, i went to Cyberjaya, again to meet my indo friend Vanya whom i always meet everyday in Malang, and we just doing nothing. ok we went to swim, and went to IOI just for eating sushizanmai. the next day, i met my (idk to say) instagram friend whom i never met before, Amer. well, actually idk how to call him. do i have to call him with abang or not cause he's actually older than me. so, that is our first time to meet face-to-face. we went to eat at a restaurant i forgot the name, i ate nasi lemak there. then, we went to Pasar Seni to take pictures (i mean me) and we went to National Textile Museum and Muzium Negara. he explained the history very well, thankyou. and then, we went to Dataran Merdeka just to take pictures like bella hadid did hehehe. yeah, and what else yea. oh, we went to Kampung Baru, because i want apam balik so much, but unfortunately no one sell it, idk i think it was closed because it was sunday. so i ate sate padang (again) and we bought air tebu and aiskrim gula apong (this actually really tasty!) then we went shishaing in al-andalus (cmiiw) and the next day, i went back to Penang.
the vacation was good eventhough only me and my bags! idk it is a true vacay or not because i spent time mostly either in apart or hotel:')
eventho the first day in kul airport i got a "bad" experience because my luggage is.... broken. pecah. because of myself and the other person WHO PUSHED IT ON THE ESCALATOR. well, yeah thats fine.
whats next ya? Jaipur? Boracay? Manila? Bangkok? Ho Chi Minh City? Brunei? Alaska? Melbourne? NYC? HAHAHAHA amen
new york?
i eat aiskrim gula apong
almi hadid
alor street!
